Design your own education with a curriculum built for you
The internet is full of incredible educational resources. There are lectures from major universities, in-depth YouTube tutorials, open textbooks, long-form essays, and professional blogs that teach almost any skill. The problem is not access. The problem is structure.
Most people who want to learn something on their own start with enthusiasm and then stall. They gather bookmarks, save videos, skim articles, and try different platforms. After a few weeks, the plan collapses because the learning path is scattered.
I built Pathmaker to solve this practical problem.
Pathmaker creates a personalized curriculum based on your goals, the time you have each week, your preferred learning formats, and your current skill level. It does not sell courses. It organizes what already exists. It turns the chaos of open-web learning into a clear plan that is broken into weeks, themes, and concrete actions.
The idea came from watching people try to learn online by themselves. They had the motivation but not the roadmap. They did not need more content. They needed direction and a manageable plan so they could make progress without constant decision fatigue.
With Pathmaker, you describe what you want to learn and receive a structured curriculum in about a minute. You can edit anything, remove or add resources, regenerate individual weeks, and track your reflections and progress as you go. You can also browse community-made curricula and adapt them to your needs.
Pathmaker is built for people who like to learn on their own terms but do not want to spend hours assembling plans that could be generated for them.
It is self funded and still evolving, but the goal is steady: give independent learners a simple and reliable way to build their own education.
If you want to try it, I would love feedback from the Indie Hackers community.
About
I’m building Pathmaker because self-guided learners have endless content available, but no structure. Most people want to learn new skills, but they lose momentum because they do not know what to do next. Pathmaker organ
