Pawportrait

Hey Indie Hackers!

I just launched PawPortrait, a small AI project I built for pet lovers.

The idea started from a simple observation: people take hundreds of photos of their pets, but most of them just sit in the camera roll. Pets are family, and their personalities are what make them special.

So I built a tool that turns a pet photo into a custom AI portrait and creates a fun personality roast card based on their unique vibe.

The workflow is simple:

1. Upload a photo of your dog or cat

2. Choose a portrait style

3. Get a custom AI pet portrait

4. Discover your pet’s funny personality profile

Examples:

- "Your cat isn't ignoring you. They're just managing their human."

- "Your dog has never met a stranger, only future best friends."

The goal isn't just generating another AI image. I wanted to create something emotional and shareable — something that makes pet owners smile and say, "That is so my pet."

I'm still early and experimenting with:

- More portrait styles

- Better personality analysis

- Pet memory / keepsake features

- More ways for pet owners to share their creations

Would love feedback from the Indie Hackers community:

- Would you use something like this for your pet?

- Which feature feels more valuable: AI portraits, personality roast, or memory keepsakes?

- What would make you pay for this?

Thanks for checking out PawPortrait. Looking forward to learning from everyone here!
