April 1, 2021 Re-launched PayFlexi with Stripe

We have re-launched PayFlexi with focus on global market for PayFlexi payment plans solution. We currently allow merchants to use their existing payment processing providers to accept flexible payment at checkout.

August 3, 2020 Time to think global

We discovered that our payment plans product payment flow is broken and needed a new user experience.

Also, payment plans can be use by merchants even outside our primary market. So we are thought of building a new checkout flow and also expand our market for PayFlexi payment plans solution.

February 8, 2020 Got our first paying customer!

We got our first paying customers who scheduled a payment plans of $50 over 4 weeks instalment. Though this is small, it's actually a big ticket payment for someone based in Nigeria.

February 5, 2020 Launch Payment Plans MVP

While still talking to banks and financial service providers, we discovered we could start by giving businesses a way to easily accept payment plans from their customers. Though this is something new to the local market we operate in, we were able to get some few merchants who piloted the product with us.

Payment plans became our first product feature for PayFlexi.

We continued talking to businesses and financial partners.

December 10, 2019 Came up with the idea

My Co-founder and I came up with the idea of PayFlexi as an alternative finance channel for existing financial services providers in Nigeria.

Started talking to potential partners such as lenders and banks who could provide the float to power the finance aspect of the product.

We started with the mind of being the Klarna for Africa.
