Unlock in-app paid features using Stripe payments
It happened while I was working on another side-project, the project was ready to start accepting Stripe payments but I didn't want to spin up servers for enabling payments. Also, the current solutions rely on old licensing systems that required customers to input a key. That's when the idea sparked of a solution that abstracts this complexity away and makes it easier to integrate payments.
I named the new concept of "Payment Hook". The term came from "Web Hook", which is basically a notification of whether an event has happened, but in this case, payment is charged or refunded. The idea is simple, once you build your product and connect your Stripe account, with one single API call you're ready to start receiving payment events to enable or disable in-app features.
About
To enable Stripe in-app payments on Chrome Extensions without having to spin up servers. It exists because Chrome Web Store doesn't support in-app payments SDK anymore.
