Mobile payments and point of sale for Stripe
Back in April 2020, I never thought that revenue could possibly recover — especially since we're still in the middle of the pandemic. We had originally expected to be processing at a much higher clip at this moment in time, but we're seeing some steady (although slower) organic growth. Here's to 2021!
Due to the pandemic, and looming shutdowns, Payment became rather ineffective for many businesses. Since Payment relies on charging "in person", and the entire world was not allowed to be "in person", we lost a significant amount of revenue (and created a significant amount of uncertainty).

As one of the longest tenured Stripe Partners, we were the first of the mobile point of sale apps to launch the Stripe Terminal card readers — essentially unlocking an easy integration for Stripe customers to use cost-effective card readers with their business, without any setup.

After nearly 5 years of building with the same person, we decided to go different ways. With different interests, varying family and financial situations, and a desire to go full-time, it became apparent that the old partnership just wasn't going to work any longer.

Since the app was bootstrapped, and makes money off every transaction, it was profitable on Day 0. The first month, we made $400 in "passive" income and out of that grew the appetite for more features, more growth and started the question to quit working for other startups.
The idea wasn't anything smart or clever — we merely solved a need for ourselves, and latched onto a 🚀.
