March 10, 2021 Reached 100 Paying Customers

19 yearly and 81 monthly subscribers.

There are also an additional 22 users who need to update their card details. I neglected to let them know that their payments were not collected, so I have implemented messaging and will give them a grace period.

I am 1/6th of the way there to ramen profitability.

I went to the site to check it out, but it is currently under maintenance. I just wanted to give you a heads up that the date is incorrect, it still says it should be up by March 7th.

Thanks, I realized that a little too late. I usually update the message manually. I was just updating my server software.

January 1, 2020 Launched New Features and Payment Plans

By this point, payPod had been charging once-off fees to remove payPod branding from the PDF documents. Of course, that would never be sustainable, and users were asking for more features.

Users who had paid were grandfathered, and two new payment plans were added. New features included payment and expense tracking, client statements and credit notes.

A few other features were also added.

June 2012 Launched payPod as 100% Free

Built and launched payPod as a portfolio piece and for personal use. Included basic invoicing, quotes and the ability to email them / download them as PDF documents. There were zero paid features or upgrades.

Tried a bunch of entry-level SEO, and gained a few users.
