Pdf Snippets
Copy clean text from PDFs, effortlessly.
You know that feeling when you copy an important line from a PDF —
then get distracted, forget to paste it, and it’s gone forever? 😩
That used to happen to me all the time while reading research papers.
So I built PDF Snippets — a small Android app that automatically saves anything you copy from PDFs, instantly and quietly in the background.
No switching between apps.
No losing copied text.
Everything neatly organized in one place.
It’s been a game-changer for me — and apparently for students and researchers too.
Try it if you ever lose your copied notes 👇

I used to get frustrated every time I wanted to copy a few lines from a PDF on my phone. Switching apps, losing copied text, or pasting it somewhere messy was annoying.
That’s why I built Pdf Snippets.
It lets you copy any text directly from a PDF, and it automatically saves every snippet neatly inside a folder—organized and ready whenever you need it.
No more juggling between apps. No more lost notes. Just simple, effortless text saving.
I’m launching Pdf Snippets because I know others face the same problem I did. If you often read PDFs and want a smarter way to capture text, this app is for you.
Would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or even feature ideas! 🙌

Super neat idea. Copying text from PDFs on mobile is way more painful than most people admit.
Love how Pdf Snippets removes the app-hopping and keeps everything organized.
Curious if you’re planning any integrations (like Notion or Obsidian) so snippets can flow straight into a knowledge base?

Thank you! Exactly — I wanted to cut out the app-hopping and make PDF text handling smooth. Notion/Obsidian integrations are definitely on the roadmap, since a lot of users want snippets to flow right into their knowledge base.

Really like the wedge behind PDF Snippets, turn dense PDFs into clean, shareable bites people can actually reference. That solves the “I know it’s in there somewhere…” problem without forcing a full read.
Two tiny ideas that could compound:
Auto-citation + permalinks (author/year/page with a link that jumps to the exact spot/coords).
One-click exports to Notion/Obsidian + smart collections (group snippets by topic/paper).
Curious: what single moment best predicts a paying user; first snippet exported, a first “collection” created, or connecting an integration?
P.S. I’m with Buzz; we build conversion-focused Webflow sites and pragmatic SEO for product launches. Happy to share a quick GTM checklist if useful.

Appreciate this! Love the auto-citation and Notion export ideas — definitely on the roadmap. I agree, first export feels like the key unlock. Would be great to see that GTM checklist 🙌

This solves a very real pain point. PDF workflows on mobile are clunky. Love the “auto-save snippets” idea, feels like a big boost for productivity.

This actually solves a pain point I’ve had for years. Copying from PDFs on mobile has always been a nightmare.

I’m really glad to hear that! That exact pain point is what inspired me to build PDF Snippets. I wanted to make copying from PDFs on mobile simple and frustration-free. Excited that it’s helping you — feedback like this keeps me motivated to keep improving the app!

Smart solve! PDF text extraction on mobile is genuinely painful.
From a builder perspective - this could be huge for students, researchers, and consultants. Have you thought about adding OCR for image-based PDFs? That's where most mobile PDF tools fail.
Also, this seems like it could easily expand into other document types (Word, web articles, etc.). The core workflow you've built is the valuable part.
Would love to try it out. Is there a beta or early access?

Thank you, that means a lot! You’re spot on — students, researchers, and consultants were exactly the groups I had in mind while building PDF Snippets. OCR for scanned/image PDFs is definitely on my roadmap, since that’s where most tools stumble. Expanding to Word and web articles is also something I’d love to explore once the PDF experience feels perfect.

Nice work with PDF Snippets — seems super useful for folks who work a lot with documents. I like how clean the UI looks in the screenshots.
One suggestion: maybe including a preview mode so users can see a snippet before saving/exporting could be helpful. Also, if performance remains smooth with large files, you’ll really have something special.
Excited to see what you add n

Hi Steven,
Thanks a lot for the kind words about PDF Snippets! Really glad you liked the clean UI. Your idea about a preview mode makes perfect sense — I’ll definitely look into adding that. And yes, I’m working to keep performance smooth even with large files.
Appreciate your encouragement, it really motivates me to keep building!
