Hi Indie Hackers,
I built PDFixel — browser-based tools for PDF, image, Office, and video files.
The problem I wanted to solve: most online file tools require uploading documents to a server before processing. For sensitive documents, that creates an unnecessary privacy concern.
PDFixel processes file contents on the user's device directly in the browser.
Currently available:
- PDF editing, merging, splitting, and compression
- PDF conversion and OCR
- Image compression, conversion, and background removal
- Office file utilities
- Video compression
The goal is simple: make everyday file processing faster and more private without installing heavy software.
