Phoenix Design System (beta)

Although Phoenix is still in a beta, I've put it life on Gumroad. From early beta results I've learned that:

• I should really at first target solofounder and single product managers
• That targetgroup also really enjoyed the guided introduction, so I want to iterate on that introduction even more. I think that's the key to success.

All in all, good enough results to soft launch it now. Meanwhile I'm planning for the actual launch, soon-ish.

Over the past pandemic, I've been coming up with lots of ideas to generate passive income. I've built and tried to sell UI kits and templates on UpLabs, I've designed and built webflow templates and I've even taken at stab at building my own project.

All of these projects eventually came to a halt. Why? Because I didn't really like what I was doing. It didn't give me energy.

I had a long thought about what I did like about the projects. The answer was simple: designing the projects. That was the common denominator.

Every time I would start a new template or UI kit, I first had to come up with a set of rules, color styles and components that would form the basis of the project. That always was a very time-consuming task but I loved it.

That's when I started learning about design systems. We have one at my current job where I work as a product manager. Our design system is a great asset, it enables us to move faster and design better.

But not every company has one, why is that? Simple. It's extremely time-consuming to build and maintain one.

The Phoenix Design System was risen from the ashes to help small companies, solo founder with a consistent Design System.
