  1. What is Envato?

We first heard about the Envato marketplace in 2014 & we are so much excited about it.

As we have our hand on PHP works we decided to make one product on it & release it on codecanyon.net (i.e. one of the Envato sites for sale the code).

  1. Research phase

We researched quite a lot in a specific category on codecanyon.

After finalizing the category we made a research on which type of product gain the attention of users, which make more sales.

After studying the data we got our idea toward our product type & what to add new features that don't have in other products.

  1. Development begins after that.

February 5, 2015 Not happy with freelancing

Overall I don't like this process where we both submit the bid applications, wait for the client response, communicate with the clients, negotiate the pricing & finalize the project.

We need the work but not in this way, it's completely different from person to person but for me its not my way.

I want a client who gives us continuous work instead of lots of small budget clients. BUT for that, we need some best plan to find that one client.

We had done lots of small works & rented one small office. BUT still finding other ways of earning.

January 23, 2014 First Elance - Freelancing work

After a lot of bids on Elance, we finally got a project with an hourly rate of $4.

We are so happy with it.

Completed 70 hours & earned $311.54

At that time its lots for us. Its party time & we celebrated it.

What I suggest to other novice developers - Do consistent work & never lose hope on what you are doing. Not every day is the same day.

September 24, 2013 More local works

We had done 3 more local projects on the websites using core PHP, HTML, CSS tech.

Projects on

  • Inventory system for a shop owner
  • Agency website
  • Personal website

After that, we grab our skills in PHP core works & do more on it. Now is time to work in the Freelancing site.

June 17, 2013 The journey begins with finalizing the firm name

I'm about to start my own IT firm. Its never been easier for me to decide the company name.

I & my co-founder started working on it.

We take one dictionary & takes notes around the different words we grab from the dictionary.

After a few iterations, we final the first word i.e. "Phoenix" (a bird who never die) & added the "coded" (code+d) at last.

So, finally, we both agree with the combination of "Phoenixcoded".

We finalize the email address & domains along with social accounts after that.
