Photomode
Share and explore the best moments in games
After working through bugs and slowly adding features, I finally finished the core elements of Photomode Premium. Much like the initial launch, I also launched Premium live in an effort to #BuildInPublic.
For Premium I decided to use Stripe as it was very easy to get set up thanks to Stripe Checkout and allowed me to get things up and running quickly without sacrificing any user experience or adding unnecessary complication for users. I was even able to add a free 7-day trial for new users with just a few lines of code!
After working through designs, coming up with core features, and testing things out with a small group of interested users online, I launched Photomode.io.
The launch happened live on my Twitch channel (where I also #BuildInPublic by streaming the development of the project)

I saw that there was a huge gap in the virtual photography community. A lot of people were sharing photos but often it was scattered around various subreddits, Twitter threads, Instagram accounts, and the more traditional photography platforms such as Flickr and Imgur. I wanted to create a better way for gamers and virtual photographers to share their awesome work.
