June 22, 2026 How I Grew a Pickleball Affiliate Site to 59 Articles by Testing Products Instead of Chasing Keywords

About a year ago, I started a niche site focused entirely on pickleball paddles.

Instead of publishing generic "best paddle" lists, I focused on buying, testing, and reviewing paddles myself. The goal was to create content based on actual experience rather than rewriting what already existed online.

A few things I've learned:

  • Publishing consistently matters more than finding the "perfect" keyword.

  • First-hand experience makes content much easier to write.

  • Comparison articles often outperform individual reviews.

  • Updating existing content can be more effective than publishing new content.

  • Building topical authority in a single niche is powerful.

The site currently has 59 published articles, and I'm still learning every day.

For those building affiliate content sites in 2026:

What's working best for you right now—original product testing, programmatic SEO, topical clusters, newsletters, social traffic, or something else?
