Pinecast has been growing slowly but steadily. $8k is a meaningful milestone: it shows that our new pricing strategy is working and our customers are enthusiastic about what we're doing.
When I started Pinecast, the goal was to build something that's "better than free". With the rise of services like Anchor, which are free, that devotion to product quality has really been put to the test. Being able to point to the numbers to show revenue consistently doubling year over year is incredibly reassuring that the hard work being put in is in fact placing us above free alternatives. Pinecast is still priced far below some of the competition, but healthy revenue and user growth has made the business sustainable, if not competitive.
