PitchGround
Never pay full price for software again.
It's been extremely hard work in terms of growth and has learned a lot through this process. However, here are some key takeaways:
- Building a remote team is better and faster to scale.
- Focusing on the team is essential and weed out bad apples asap is important.
- Check the background of your Co-Founder before working with one (Had a nightmare).
- Don't work with all the affiliates. We recently got cyberbullied by a bunch.
🔥Build a solid product.
🔥Start your pre-marketing 6 months prior.
🔥Build loyal beta users.
🔥Offer something special to your beta users.
🔥Turn your beta users into your brand ambassador.
🔥 Build a community around your product.
🔥 Build a strong Marketing Funnel.
🔥 Limit the number of sales during your launch.

Hi Udit, impressive figures. Thanks for sharing the milestones.
So if I understand correctly, pitchground is like appsumo but with only one deal at a time?
I see you all the other deals are sold out except sync spider...
Do you target other regions than English speaking countries?Congrats on the impressive track record.
-

@nanatoni Thank you. We are actually very different than Appsumo. What you see is just our Front End. Behind the scene, we have a lot of other strategies in place to build subscriptions and enterprise sales :)
-

Really? How are you different? Do tell:)
We would like to offer a deal on our AI website and mobile app builder, how can I find out more about your services? Thanks-

@nanatoni Let's jump on a call this week? Can you shoot me an email: udit@pitchground.com.

Most SaaS companies are still scared of using Facebook ads or doesn't know the power of Facebook Ads till date.
If you aren't using them then you are missing out.
We are about to launch SyncSpider, a "Zapier-like" app on PitchGround on a lifetime deal and wanted to quickly generate more leads.
Here are few important things:
- Have a good budget.
- Don't target the interest that everyone is targeting.
- Split test.
- Use CBO.
- Use bots to semi nurture.
- Focus on use case and not features.
We generated each of the leads at around $1.2 and we are now looking to spending another $2000 before our launch on 14th October on PitchGround.

Awesome work. Any plans to start experimenting with lookalikes based on these leads?
-

I don't use LookALike Audience much. I have got much better success with Cold Ads than the LookALike audience.

Awesome work, congrats. It’d be great to get an idea of how your adds looked or the copy used to see what worked for you.
-
2
@Deweysi We usually test out plenty of them. During the first few days, it's all about experimenting.
Many a times the copies you think will work, never works and the ones tou don't expect to work, works.
So just keep testing heavily.

Also remember to retarget people that come to your site

That's very generic, and every marketer knows that. Hence I didn't even bother to write.

Congrats man! That's a very impressive result.
I'm very interested in speaking with you privately about FB ads.
I'm employee #1 at Evercast and we are just starting our paid acquisition efforts. We've grown considerably with word-of-mouth, and have a lot of "social leverage" with the clients we've worked with. We also have a lot of room for CAC, so I'm confident we will be able to do well with social ads.

That's awesome @tyrelj13. Let's discuss over email? You can write me at udit@pitchground.com

$600 to get 500 leads. How the heck did you do that in 2019?

I have been running Facebook Ad Agency since 5 years and apart from my platform and SaaS, I also manage and consult a portfolio worth $700k per month in ad spending.
I have a ton of data points and exactly know what works and what doesn't.
I also have a dedicated Account rep who constantly gives me recommendations of what's going on behind the scene.
If you have questions on FB ads then please ask me. More than happy to answer them :)

I have mostly witnessed facebook ripping off entrepreneurs with their overly priced ads but now it looks like you are the one ripping off facebook!
-

Most people watch a YouTube video or take a course and call themselves experts. They have absolutely no clue what they are doing, how to build funnels, build ad system, drive targeted cold traffic etc.
Even worse, the ad copies are crap.
Facebook is not at all ripping people off because they have a bidding system for their ad platform, just like Google.
People just need to know what they are doing. If they don't then spak to the right people :)

That's really impressive!
What did your cpc look like and how about your conversion rate?

I was one of those that clicked on your FB ad - I guess you targeted AppSumo users?
Anyway the attraction for me was "lifetime deal" for a Zapier-like tool, that's the main reason why I clicked.
-
1
I am targeting a ton of interest around marketing, so it's impossible to measure as Facebook doesn't provide you the data which interest resulted in which lead unless you break down your adset which is not a good idea and can lead to 50% overlapping audience which will ultimately result in costing you 30-70% higher lead cost as you will be bidding with yourself.

Great results!
Could you elaborate on your use of bots? Some details?

Sure, so right now we are using Manychat and we have created a sequence to get lead and meanwhile, we are also sharing valuable information with them about the product to nurture them.

Selling software is not easy. In the last one year, I have sold $1.1 worth of Software.
My Learnings:
- Focus on Customer Experience
- Your Product is your biggest Growth Hack
- Focus on UI/UX
- Sell value, not just a product.
- Build a community around your product.
- Leverage Network Marketing.

80% of $1.1m = 880,000
That's massive! $880,000 profit in 1 year.
Congratulations 🎉🎉🎉

nice! I love this as a product. How did you get your initial customers? Can you talk about how you make money?
-

I had my previous companies where my customers absolutely loved me and had a following. Getting the initial set of customers was very easy due to that and then the network marketing kicked in.

Congrats Udit. Been following you on couple of Facebook groups as well
Initially I used to think that selling software is easy. However when i discovered the kind of expectations the seller has, and the kind of effort required on paid(and otherwise), I realised its a specialist’s game. What’d be your advise on scaling a content platform like mine(I know you are an expert at scaling)
The product is https://womenhustlers.com

Hey thank you so much for following me on other Facebook Groups : )
Before giving you any advice on how to scale up @Pritisha. Can you please tell me what exactly are you doing currently and what all attempts you made to scale?
If you are not comfortable sharing here openly then please feel free to connect me via email udit@pitchground.com

Are you a single founder? Or are you working together with others?-

I founded the company myself and then got 2 Co-Founders along the journey, one is handling the operations, is the COO of the company and the other is our CTO.

would you recommend to hire an affiliate manager then? or entirely not depend on affiliate marketing at all
Get a affiliate manager. Super important. Plus, don't let everyone join. Make sure to spend good time on proper background check.
80% of $1.7m = $1.3+m
Congratulations bro. You are in the money 🙌
😅
