Design subscription for startups. Unlimited requests
I recently launched Pixiflow — a design subscription service focused on startups and SaaS companies.
The idea came from seeing the same problem repeatedly:
hiring designers is slow,
agencies are expensive and meeting-heavy,
freelancers are often inconsistent or unavailable when needed.
So I wanted to create something simpler:
a flat monthly subscription for ongoing design work with fast turnaround times.
We currently handle:
UI/UX design
landing pages
SaaS websites
product visuals
marketing assets
motion/video design
The workflow is async-first and designed to feel lightweight for founders. Most requests are delivered within 48 hours, and clients can pause or cancel anytime.
One interesting challenge was balancing “unlimited requests” with maintaining quality and realistic delivery speed. We ended up structuring the workflow more like a product queue than a traditional agency pipeline, which helped a lot operationally.
Another thing I noticed while building:
many startups don’t actually need a full-time designer — they need reliable execution on-demand without the overhead of recruiting and management.
Would genuinely appreciate feedback from founders, developers, or anyone who has worked with agencies/freelancers before:
What usually frustrates you most about design services?
Would you ever use a subscription model like this?
What would make you trust a service like this immediately?
About
I’m working on PixiFlow because I saw how difficult it is for startups to get reliable, high-quality design support without wasting time and budget. Most founders either: hire freelancers with inconsistent availability
