Pixy Wallet

Today I launched the alpha desktop wallet for OS X. You can download it on https://pixy.network. It is a basic wallet that allows you to do financial transactions on the Fetch network and constitutes the first step towards a smart market/concierge application.

Today the cryptowallet was finished. It allows you to use various currencies on the Ethereum network. The next step will be to fully integrate KYC and finally to build the concierge service. The app and website has mostly been built through outsourcing which has worked out well so far.

While we are waiting to the final product to be finished, I am looking for interested test users. If you want to give the app a spin when it comes out, sign up on https://pixy.network.

After spending close to four years studying blockchain (and building a couple myself from scratch), I began to iterate on how to combine my previous NLP concept with distributed ledger technology. At this point in time I realised that the fundamental value of blockchains is ecosystem building. Traditional user acquisition can easily cost you $10 / user, whereas with blockchain it basically comes for "free" through airdrops and mining rewards.

It took quite a lot of iterations to understand which part of the project is the blockchain part and which part was the proprietary part.

Quite a while back now. At the time I was working in academia and did a lot of writing. English grammar was never really my thing and I decided to build an NLP engine to auto correct my grammar. It took me about a weekend to write the first demonstrator.

After that, I put it on the shelf as I had other things to attend to, but never really forgot about the project.
