Play more. Fight loneliness. Find your people.

I’m working on PlaayMate because I noticed a simple problem: people often want to play a sport, but don’t have someone available to play with.
Friends may be busy, someone may have moved to a new city, or they simply may not know people nearby who enjoy the same sport. PlaayMate exists to help people find nearby players based on sport, location, skill level, and availability, connect with them, and actually get a game going.
The larger goal goes beyond sports. I want PlaayMate to help people meet in real life, make friends, build communities, and reduce loneliness through a shared activity.
Right now, we’re mainly focused on Pune because a platform like this needs a strong concentration of users in the same location to work well. Instead of spreading a small number of users across many cities, we want to build dense local clusters of players in Pune, make sure people can consistently find someone to play with, and then use what we learn to expand into other cities.
The idea is simple: if you want to play, you shouldn’t have to stop just because you don’t have someone to play with.

Focusing on one city first feels like the right instinct.
What I'll be curious to see is the point where PlaayMate stops feeling like "an app to find players" and starts feeling like "the default place people think of when they want a game." That shift is subtle, but it changes how the product grows.
