Launch!
Placedog is now live! It was a super quick project to build - just over 2 hours from idea to launch.
I used a familiar stack of Express, React and Docker. It's deployed to my single VPS that I already had spun up.
I created a quick page in React and then an API in Express using the sharp package for the image resizing.
I added a few pictures of my dog (Millie) that I've taken over the years and then generated a cache of them so that it would make the API even faster.
I launched the product on my own Twitter, LinkedIn and a few public API directories. I don't plan to make money through this but could take contributions in the future.
