We just got the email from Stripe.

One of our active users, who's been in touch with us through Intercom has bought one of our paid modules. We are so ecstatic! Day by day, we watch the metrics and read the feedback, the more we are reassured that splitting off and building the simpler, more streamlined product has been the right decision.

We will work closely with our current users and help them get further in digitising their design or construction business - this is only the beginning, but a moment to sit back and celebrate.

Just 24 hours after our launch, we emailed our users from SiteSupervisor to let them know we've launched a new product called PlanDrive. We posted in a bunch of Facebook groups that were for Architects and Engineers alike.

Just 24 hours in, we've had 109 drawings uploaded between 12 users! Drawings are the cornerstone of the platform and we are giving away unlimited uploads during the COVID19 pandemic to help teams shift to a remote, collaborative working model.

We'll just absorb the AWS cost for now and work out a cost effective plan for the future. We should be okay for the first few thousand drawings before we need to optimize for costs.

Here's looking forward to the 1000th drawing! ☺️

We've kicked off the production builds, run the database migrations and had all fingers crossed. Platform released to production!

The marketing website followed aptly and now both are live.

It's been surreal working on this fork for the last 3 months but it has been good timing. Our tool to help design and construction teams collaborate and distribute drawings has come during the COVID19 pandemic. More and more teams are looking into ways to work remotely and improve social distancing at design offices and construction sites.

It was a last minute decision, but just before the launch we decided to drop the pay-gate on number of drawings uploaded. It was initially capped at 1,000 before you had to pay but I think we all need to contribute in one way or another. We've worked out the AWS costs and we don't think it'll go too crazy but unlimited drawings until 1st June 2020, with a likely extension of that.

Now, it's go time!
