Plant My Forest
Plant your forest here. It will be planted in real life 🌱
💰 $99 revenue
🌳 33 trees planted
📦 $10 average payment
🙌 10 new customers
📈 698 visitors
🌶 1,43% conversion rate
Report: much less income compared to Sept. ($1000) and Oct. ($500). High revenues due to the launch period.
The good point is that with only 698 visitors I earn $100. The goal is to keep this conversion rate and increase traffic!
Mass SEO strategy incoming 🔥 but it takes time
Take a good look at this page. ✨
It has just been put online.
And it's the brand new version of Plant My Forest.
The objective here is to better explain the concept of the site and the project.
We had to add more content on the home page, to :
explain the mission
explain how trees are planted
reassure future planters
show our figures and current planters
But we didn't want to lose the map... so we left it!
You can still interact with it (I put this point forward because it wasn't easy to integrate ;))
So come check out this brand new version of Plant My Forest : plantmyforest.com
And send your feedback! 💬
If you don't have any feedback to give then... you can just say it's beautiful 🙃 (I'm kidding, say what you want)
First newspaper article for Plant My Forest. (link below)
Some entrepreneurs are used to doing press relations. We're just getting started, so we take advantage of it. 🥰
Even if it can become a trap for an entrepreneur to want: the first pages of newspapers, TV shows, interviews...
To the detriment of working on his company, features, strategy.
But today, this article in the newspaper, it is good for :
-
social proof, because yes in business the "seen on TV" always works ... well there it is "seen in the newspaper" but it also works
-
tree planting, we will see in the next few days the result
-
SEO, such an important newspaper site reports a nice backlink
And you, have you already appeared in the newspaper ?
What was the subject and what did you get out of it?

New sprite for trees in the forest on plantmyforest.com
Just switch from apple emoticons trees to a true isometric (beautiful) design.
It adds a real touch of beauty, freshness, and gamification!
next step: add elements around the forest to add a more natural and lively effect (like: flowers, rocks... rivers?).

Excellent! I like canvas based websites.
Could you please tell me how you attract users to the site. I mean it has no content for search engines, how users get known about you? -

That looks beautiful, congratulations! Love the idea too, useful take on the million dollar homepage.

Oh yeah I saw that. It’s quite interesting that he went on to become a true product creator. Made me think that the success of his first project wasn’t just chance.

They look nice but I would also suggest you to add:
- photos of real planted trees
- the map with trees to show where you actually planted them.
Good luck!

Nice! Where are they coming from?
Hello indie hackers!
I just updated the main landing page for Plant My Forest. Can you take a look and give me some feedback?
Here's the url: https://plantmyforest.com/
Specifically, I'd like to know if the basics make sense. Can you tell what my product does? Am I missing anything obvious? Is it easily readable in your browser?
Thanks so much!
