PlantMate: Plant Care Tracker
Never forget to water your plants again.
I built PlantMate πΏ a simple plant care app that helps you remember when to water, fertilize, mist, and repot your plants.
The idea came from a simple problem: I kept forgetting when I last watered my plants, and most plant apps felt overly complicated or required accounts and subscriptions.
PlantMate focuses on the essentials:
β
Smart care reminders
β
Plant journal with notes & photos
β
Care streaks and stats
β
50+ built-in plant types
β
Works fully offline
β
No account, no ads
Everything stays on your device, and the app is designed to be fast, clean, and easy to use for both beginners and experienced plant parents.
I'd love feedback from fellow Indie Hackers:
What features would make a plant care app genuinely useful for you?
How do you currently track plant care (if at all)?
Would you pay for premium plant-related features?
Happy to answer any questions about the build, design decisions, or growth plans. π±

I kept forgetting to water my plants, so I built PlantMate a simple, offline plant care tracker with reminders and no unnecessary complexity.

One thing I'd be careful with:
The interesting question may not be what additional features plant owners want.
It may be what actually causes someone to keep using a plant app after the initial setup.
Those sound similar, but they can lead to very different product decisions.
