Plantyflix.com

Today is the day we went live with Plantyflix.com. Me and Fabrice (my business partner) decided we want to build and launch this product in 1 week. It look us 3 days longer than expected to iron out a few things and make sure the partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects came through. But it's up now and live.

Here's a bit about the project:
Watching 1 hour of Netflix is the same as driving a car for 3.3km (2 miles). And with Netflix usage now at an all time high it's a pretty good time to start thinking the impact of our video streaming usage.

Some cool stats—if you watched all episodes and seasons of these shows:

1. Tiger King = 2 kg CO2e = Driving 20km (12miles) in a car
2. Stranger Things = 9 kg CO2e = Driving 75km (47miles) in a car
3. Family Guy = 53 kg CO2e = Driving 442km (274miles) in a car

What is Plantyflix.com
Plantyflix helps you to plant trees each month while you watch your favourite films and TV shows. It's super affordable, starting at $1 per month to plant a few trees—cheaper than most tree planting websites. They've partnered with Eden Reforestation Projects to plant trees and reduce extreme poverty in different countries.
