PluginTrends

WordPress ecosystem is huge, today it has over ~54K active plugins.
Some of them have millions of installs, some only 100, discovering trends specifically for new plugins is not so easy.

On the official WP plugins site there is no easy way to spot daily trends. That's why I decided to build this free service and help everyone to discover trends in the simplest possible way.

For now site https://plugintrends.com has 2 sorts:

• by % change in number of downloads last 24h vs previous 24h
• by increase in number of downloads today vs yesterday

When you visit certain plugin page there you'll see last update date, date when it went live, who is the author and their link.

On that page rating is visible as well as a list of associated tags and external link to the official plugin page in WP org.

If you're a fan of Notion, Airtable or other no-code tools you can use these growth metrics to translate what's working in WP ecosystem into new ecosystem.

Let me know if you would like to track any other metrics 🙂
