A few weeks ago we were excited to make some changes to our free offering on Plunk. We included a badge in the footer with fixed branding.
The classic "P.S. I love you. Get your free email at Hotmail", the first growth hack.
In theory, this would put our logo in front of thousands of potential users. Hotmail used this to get millions of signups. But it was 1996, and it was personal email...
So we got 2 clicks... in 3 weeks... :)
Obviously, we won't give up and will iterate. But this little experiment has failed thus far.
Plunk's team just grew 100%!
I'll be helping polishing the offering, creating and managing the community and finding better ways to help grow Plunk.
We're confident we have one of the best complete email tools around, time to show the world :)

We have also seen very limited clicks with our "Powered By" footer link. May be it works differently with different types of businesses. Good luck!
