Pomodoro Noise
Pomodoro technique meets colors of noise
After successfully launching Pomodoro Noise on iPhone, I decided to try my hand at Android development. I had some experience developing on Android from a college project, but that experience did not play much of a role into this app. Having the functionality already figured out helped a ton because I only had to focus on writing the code instead of writing code and figuring out how I wanted the app to behave. After getting it to a working state, I submitted it to review to Google. Today Pomodoro Noise launched on Google Play!
That was a much quicker build and turn around than I thought it would be. I learned enough Swift to build my app out pretty easily. After that came the hurdle of figuring out how to release something to the App Store. After many Google searches and late nights, I was able to complete my application build, fill out required paperwork and App Store information, and submit my final app for review by Apple. I got word quickly thereafter that Pomodoro Noise was approved for release!

I have never coded in Swift or Objective-C much less built an app for iOS. My goal is to build an MVP and release it to the Apple App Store in less than a year. I pitched this idea to friends and family who all thought that it would be a useful tool, so I set out to build it.

I wanted to create an app that mixed the pomodoro technique and brown noise. Setting pomodoro timers and listening to brown noise are two of my favorite ways to get focused and stay productive.
