After over 2.5 months of building in public, managed to update the UI based on initial feedback.
The newer UI has much more functionality and is more leaner, with 2x faster loading. 🚀 Added some neat utility feature to the file tree.
Its so good to get pre-emptive feedback from people who try out out product.
I got some detailed feedback from few of my early users. Super helpful to plan my next steps. Will be working on improving some of the points in the feedback over the next week.

Launched the landing page for Pople to collect more ideas and build up a small following for the product before launch.
Why?
- Tell the world what I'm upto
- Get feedback sooner, sometimes even suggestions on additional functionality
- Build a early-adopter list
- Build hype around the product

After talking to a dozen people, I found that there is a market for this product. I also identified some challenges that I will have to address before launch.
As I compiled all this information, I also had decided to build this product in public on Twitter. I started sharing my thoughts and progress there, which I will be continuing until launch.

The previous day, Notion (a popular all-in-one note-taking app) went down for hours, panicking a lot of people.
This made me realize that I shouldn't be relying on such third-parties. I did have many notes on notion too, as I had on few other platforms.

I wanted to have the notes that I take from different machines to be synced. Using a third-party solution is not very ideas for me because it limits as to what I can do.
I thought Git would be a nice place, as it also will have some UI on the web even if development of apps become stale. When I was searching for apps that push to github for mac, I could hardly find one.
The closest I found was FSNotes which actually creates a local GIT in machine. And then I had to sync it manually to github.
And I used another app to read from that repo on my android. This was not ideal. I used it for a while, but didn't stick to it.

I always wanted to keep all my notes in one place. With so many note-taking apps out there, it was getting harder and harder. Adding to it is the problem of vendor lock-in. Pople aims to tackle this issues effectively.
