PopTypes

I just launched PopTypes: a free quiz site for personality tests, character quizzes, relationship quizzes, and pop-culture identity tests.

Why I built it

I noticed a lot of people still search for things like MBTI tests, Big Five tests, love style quizzes, and “which character are you” quizzes. But many quiz sites feel either overloaded with ads, too thin on content, or built only to get you through a funnel.

I wanted to make something simpler:

- free to use

- no sign-up

- instant results

- result pages that are actually easy to share

- a mix of evergreen personality tests and lighter pop-culture quizzes

What’s live now

The site currently has MBTI-style, Big Five, Enneagram, DISC, SBTI-style, love style, and a few fandom/character quizzes.

The product is fully static and built with Astro. Tests live as structured JSON, so adding a new quiz is mostly a content/product task rather than rebuilding the app each time.

What I’m trying to learn

This is also an SEO experiment. I want to see whether a small, focused content product can grow from search if the pages are fast, useful, and not annoying to use.

Next I’m working on:

- adding more quizzes around relationships, careers, and pop culture

- improving result pages so they feel more worth sharing

- watching which quiz topics get impressions and clicks first

Would love feedback on the site, especially the quiz flow and whether the result pages feel shareable enough.
