One link to onboard freelance clients in 15 minutes

April 28, 2026 Show IH: I built Portawo — one link to replace 3-5 hours of client admin

The problem I kept having Every time I landed a new freelance client, the same nightmare started: - Send an intake form (Google Forms or email back-and-forth) - Draft a contract, send it, wait for signature - Chase the deposit payment - Ask for brand files, passwords, assets — scattered across 10 emails - Manually compile a project brief **3-5 hours. Every. Single. Clien:
I tried HoneyBook, Dubsado, Bonsai — they're all bloated CRM suites that take longer to set up than the onboarding itself. I didn't need a CRM. I needed the onboarding to just... happen.
What I built **Portawo** — one link that takes a client from stranger to signed contract, paid deposit, and organized project brief in under 15 minutes. Here's what the client sees when they click your link: **Step 1:** Smart intake form (conditional logic, adapts to project type) **Step 2:** File uploads + onboarding checklist **Step 3:** E-signature + deposit payment via Stripe No account needed on the client's side. They just click and complete. You get a clean PDF brief with everything organized.
Who it's for Freelance web developers, designers, and digital marketers — anyone who's tired of the admin gap between "yes, let's work together" and actually starting the project.
Where I'm at - MVP is live - Free plan: 1 project (no credit card) - Solo plan: $19/mo — 5 projects, e-signatures, payments, PDF briefs - Pro plan: $39/mo — unlimited, white-label, custom domain - Revenue: $0 (just launched) - Solo founder, bootstrapped
What I'd love from you 1. Does this solve a real pain point you've experienced? 2. What's missing that would make you switch from your current process? 3. Is the pricing right? Brutal honesty welcome.

Thanks for reading

It is a massive momentum killer when you finally close a deal but then spend the next three days chasing a signed contract and brand assets before you can even start the actual work.

The real advantage of a streamlined link over a bloated CRM is that it reduces the client's cognitive load because they can complete the entire onboarding process in one sitting rather than jumping between multiple platforms.

How are you handling the transition from the organized project brief into the freelancer's actual project management tool like Trello or Notion once the onboarding is finished?

Every time I landed a new freelance client, I wasted 3-5 hours on the same admin — intake forms, contracts, chasing deposits, organizing files. I built Portawo so freelancers could replace all of that with one link. Clie
