PostFuel
Fresh website content, automatically.
Hello,
I posted about a week ago about turning my side project into a full SaaS (PostFuel). My initial small-scale launch was aimed at gaining a few early users and feedback. While the initial traction wasn't what I hoped for, the feedback I did get (and a lot of reflection!) made it clear I needed to evolve.
So what changed? PostFuel is now much more than just an API:
1. I added a full Web App! This was built using the API initially developed, so the product remains a powerful API at its core, but now with an intuitive web interface for those who prefer that.
Next, and potentially most importantly, I knew I needed to add something that could truly deliver deep value. Something that would not only help create great content and keep SEO fresh but deeply personalize it to your unique business.
So, I launched the PostFuel Business Hub!
Here’s how it works: You provide some basic information about your business (description, name, website URL) then the Business Hub does a deep dive and generates a comprehensive Business Profile. This profile identifies:
Key SEO parameters (keywords, content themes)
Your specific market focus
A clearer picture of your target audience
Insights into your USPs and brand voice
And more...
The best part? You can then use your Business Profile as a toggle when generating content. This means the AI isn't just writing blind, it's crafting content that's deeply aligned with your specific business strategy and voice from the get-go.The Business Hub also uses your profile to generate tailored Content Strategy Ideas, giving you concrete topics, angles, and even prompt snippets that you can plug directly into PostFuel's content generator or use as inspiration anywhere!
I'm still laser-focused on gathering insights about what users really want and how PostFuel can best serve you. All comments, thoughts, and brutal honesty are welcome!
Hey Indie Hackers,
I recently finished a side project during downtime at work — it started as a small AI news generator for fun. After a lot of tinkering, I realized it could be more useful as a real product.
Now I'm officially building PostFuel:
An API-first tool to fetch news, scrape linked articles, and generate AI-enhanced content drafts — designed to help websites stay active and SEO-friendly without heavy manual writing.
Right now, the MVP is live with:
API authentication (token-based)
News fetching + scraping
AI content generation (via OpenAI)
Free tier for early testers
I'm working on polishing it, gathering feedback, and figuring out where it can be most useful (marketing sites, newsletters, SEO blogs, etc.).
Would love early thoughts:
Does this solve a real need you’ve faced?
If you run a website, how do you keep fresh content flowing today?
Any early reactions on PostFuel’s idea or execution?
Happy to share more details if anyone's curious! 🚀
