February 3, 2026 I made every onboarding mistake possible. Here's the list so you don't have to

My first SaaS had 0 conversions for weeks. Not low conversions. Zero.

Here's everything I did wrong:

Promised the world, shipped a village. Landing page said "all social media platforms." Reality was Twitter only. People signed up expecting TikTok and Instagram. Got neither. They felt lied to. Because they were.

Forced commitment way too early. Sign up with Google. Cool. Next screen? "Connect your X account." Immediately. No value shown. No reason to trust me yet. Just demanding access to their social accounts 10 seconds in.

Hard paywall before any value. I basically asked users to marry me on the first date. "Pay me before you see if this even works for you." Why would anyone do that?

"Content creators" as an ICP. That's not a customer. That's everyone. I couldn't write copy that resonated because I was speaking to no one specific.

Built in public hoping that would convert. It doesn't. Followers aren't customers. I had to actually hunt people down, DM them, ask questions, listen.

The pricing was tricky too. Free trial felt like a leaky bucket people try, forget, leave. Hard paywall scared everyone off. So I went with $0.99 for the first month. Not free, not full price. Just enough friction to filter out people who weren't serious. And here's the thing, it's 10x easier to convert someone who already swiped their card than to convert a free trial.

After fixing all of this, honest positioning, softer onboarding, $0.99 entry, reaching out to peope, I went from 0 to 6 paying users. Yes its less $6, not life changing, but it says something

Small. But real. And the feedback finally sounds like "this is good" instead of "this is broken."

And now it actually supports multiple platforms after 3 months of launching it. I'm building PostPulse Social, a content tool that actually matches your vocie. Still early, still learning. It's my first launched SaaS after so many shelved projects

I gave every sign-up user a reason to bounce. I lost some, but one of the best lessons I've learned

December 19, 2025 I suck at content creation. So I built a ghostwriter that doesn't cost $2K/month

I'm terrible at content creation.

It takes forever. I never know what to post. What hooks grab attention? What formats work? I'm just guessing and hoping something sticks (Familiar for any creator)

I wanted a ghostwriter, but $2K-5K/month wasn't happening while bootstrapping a SaaS.

I also wanted to understand WHY top creators in my niche were crushing it. What patterns were they using? What hooks? What times? What trends?

So I built PostPulse to solve both problems.

What it does:

  1. Analyzes top creators YOU pick in your niche

  2. Shows you their hooks, formats, posting patterns, trends

  3. Learns YOUR voice from your actual posts

  4. Generates content that sounds like you, based on what's working in your niche

The result: I don't spend hours drafting content. Now, I have content ready in minutes with my voice using proven patterns. All it takes is one click

The honest part: This won't make you go viral. It won't guarantee growth. But if you suck at content like me and don't want to pay for a ghostwriter, this gives you a fighting chance.

Currently X only is supported, LinkedIn and Threads coming soon.

My question for IH: Do you struggle with content creation? Have you tried ghostwriters, AI tools, or just brute-forced it yourself? What's your system?

PostPulse can be used with a FREE trial. No credit card required.

About

I spent hours weekly on content creation. ChatGPT was generic, manual research took forever. Built PostPulse for myself. It learns my voice, analyzes my niche, cuts content time to minutes. I use it daily.
