Free digital beer menus for bars, breweries, and restaurants
We moved POURWALL to a free model at the beginning of April to help out breweries and bars that are struggling due to COVID-19 closures. We pushed hard on email marketing through some partnerships and I wrote personalized emails to thousands of brewery and bar owners. It worked.
Obviously most bars are not currently open, so many of these users might just be checking it out (it's free, so they have nothing to lose), but I hope with good drip campaigns we'll be able to keep them active as bars and restaurants start opening up again.
The goal with this move is to help as many brewery and bar owners as possible. Our competitors charge $50+/month for similar products, so POURWALL is pretty enticing for owners who are tightening budgets.
We originally charged a monthly subscription fee but with so many breweries and bars struggling right now due to the COVID-19 shutdowns we decided to replatform the entire product and give it away for free. During this process we moved the entire web site to React and rebuilt our Apple TV, Fire TV, and Chromecast apps.

I was searching for other indie hackers offering covid relief to businesses and found pourwall. Looks like a really nice offering.
