Prevue

It's time... I had been considering leaving my full-time job for the last 3 months since the purchase of Prevue. The project has been sitting idle and I felt a tremendous amount of guilt not working on it.

So today is my last day at my full-time job. Looking forward to this next challenge in my career.

A few years ago, I transitioned into a management role at a startup. While the new role was fun and challenging, I missed coding all day and bringing designs to life. I needed a side-project to scratch that itch.

I considered creating a project from scratch, but the task ahead of talking to customers, building, and iterating until product-market fit was daunting. With 2 young kids at home and a demanding day job, I honestly didn't know if I could find the energy and time to spare.

So I cheated -- I bought Prevue (https://getprevue.com) through FE International. I was on their newsletter for over a year before I found an owner and business that fit my criteria (Saas, low owner involvement, in a space I was interested in.) From offer to close, it took about 2 months.

So I'm now the owner of a 10+ year old business. I'm excited to talk to customers and continue to grow our user base. BTW, let me know in the comments if there are any questions on the purchase process -- I'm planning on creating a longer post if there's any interest.
