Hey IndieHackers,

Priorities is hunted by Chris Messina and got featured on the home page. Thanks to all the friends on IndieHacker who have shown their support in the making of this app. Especially @qabil's post about asking veteran hunters to help hunt the product.

Good luck, Terry! I saw your post on PH a couple of hours ago and upvoted it. Very cool product and a really well-made video intro, too!

March 23, 2020 Got 1.3K downloads from a Reddit post

My previous launches on Reddit had lackluster results. After studying the tone of posts that got hundreds of upvotes, I found that the problem with my posts was they sounded like business talk.

So I decided to be more authentic and share what I really did: "After weeks of 14-hour coding days:..." And people resonated. It was true though. I am enjoying this shutdown a bit too much by coding non-stop for weeks. I had to take one day off because my bad posture made me unable to turn my neck lol. Painful. Many of us pour our life into making our products as great as they can be.

I also took some time to create a short promo video that's fun. Video just grabs so much attention than long text posts.

The message is well received. The value prop is clearly communicated. I am really happy about this little milestone and that I've got the product into the hands of people who I want to help, people who want to be a better version of themselves, just like myself.

March 20, 2020 The first release is approved by Apple

I decided to build the second app of Mindful Suite earlier this month. The first app of Mindful Suite is its flagship product, Goals, and was launched 3 months ago.

I decided to build Priorities because it's the perfect complement to Goals. While Goals help founders manage their long term goals, Priorities help them execute against their goals inch-by-inch every day. This was the vision I had last year. I am really happy that today, that vision became a reality with both apps being on the App store.

Of course, the work is never done. I still have a lot of ideas to make both better. Mindful Suite is a statement, that productivity apps don't have to suck. They don't have to look unprofessional. They don't have to be overcomplex. They don't have to look fancy but don't function well, or function well but look ugly.

Like I mentioned in the post from 2 weeks ago, I stole this method from Marc Andreessen. If he could get by his busy lifestyle with this simple method, it should work for me as well. I've followed this method for 5 years and it's the only method that worked for me.

The app will be free forever because 90% of the code of Priorities is reusing the code from the Goal tracker app so it only took me 2 weeks to finish it from design to release.

The other reason I want it to be free is so that it can benefit from pmarca's advice. All these other to-do apps have complex labeling and folder systems that let people get satisfaction out of managing tasks, not doing them.

Let's change that!

I've followed a method I stole from Marc Andreessen's blog since 2015. It is better than all the other complex systems I used. Hey, if pmarca could get by his day with this simple method, it should work for me too!
