March 25, 2026 I built a French-only AI project orchestrator — and why the non-English market is massively underserved

Hey IH,

I've been building Prisme (prisme.guide) for the past few months. It's an AI project orchestrator — exclusively in French.

Here's the thing: most AI tools are built in English, then translated (badly). French-speaking professionals — and there are 300M of us — are left with awkward UIs, prompts that don't quite work in French, and tool recommendations that ignore the local professional context.  So I built Prisme from scratch, in French, for French.

You describe your project in one sentence. Prisme returns: - A structured 3-6 step action plan - The right AI tools selected for your context (Claude, Figma, Canva, Midjourney, n8n...) - Expert prompts written with your actual project details — ready to copy - Downloadable files when relevant (.pptx, .docx, .xlsx)  It's not a chatbot. It's not a text generator. It's closer to a project manager who knows every AI tool on the market.

A few things I learned building this:

1. The French professional market doesn't want a translated product. They want something that understands their context natively.

2. Freemium with a generous free tier (10 generations/month) converts much better than paywalling everything.

3. "Orchestrator" is a much clearer value prop than "AI assistant" or "AI tool."  Currently at early stage. Freemium model, Pro at 9€/mo, Expert at 29€/mo.

Happy to share more about the tech stack (Astro + React, Supabase, Deno Edge Functions, Claude Sonnet as the engine) or the go-to-market approach.

Would love feedback from anyone who's tackled non-English markets.

About

Generative AI changed everything but created a new problem: choice paralysis. Professionals know their goals but get lost in a sea of tools and prompts. Prisme solves this by turning intention into action.
