The second screen indie founders keep open.

August 17, 2026 Is your business healthy?

It's a simple question.

It should have a simple answer.

Yet for most SaaS founders, it's surprisingly difficult.

Every morning starts the same way.

Open Stripe.

Check analytics.

Look at infrastructure.

Review uptime.

Read Slack notifications.

Maybe look at customer support.

Maybe check AI costs.

Maybe verify yesterday's deployment.

Every dashboard answers a different question.

None answers the one that actually matters.

Is the business healthy?

The problem isn't a lack of data.

It's the absence of context.

Revenue doesn't exist in isolation.

Neither does infrastructure.

A spike in latency may reduce conversions.

A deployment may increase errors that don't immediately appear in customer support.

Traffic may double while revenue stays flat.

An AI provider may slow down just enough to hurt user experience without triggering a single alert.

None of these events live inside one dashboard.

Understanding your business means connecting signals that were never designed to live together.

Ironically, we've become incredibly good at collecting information.

We're still surprisingly bad at explaining it.

Most observability tools tell us what's happening.

Business tools tell us what's selling.

Analytics platforms tell us who's visiting.

Each one is technically correct.

The founder still has to do the hardest part: connecting the dots.

That connection usually happens inside someone's head.

Or not at all.

I believe that's the next opportunity for AI.

Not generating more dashboards.

Not generating more notifications.

Generating understanding.

Imagine opening one screen that doesn't simply tell you your revenue dropped.

It tells you revenue dropped after yesterday's deployment increased API latency, reducing checkout completion by 8%.

Or that traffic doubled because a blog post started ranking on Google, while infrastructure remained perfectly healthy.

Or simply...

"Nothing important happened today."

Sometimes that's the most valuable insight of all.

Builders don't need more graphs.

They need confidence.

Confidence that the business is healthy.

Confidence that if something important changes, they'll know why.

For the past 8 months, I've been building that vision as a side project called Probecast.

And today, I'm finally putting it out into the world.

The goal has been the same since day one: Help founders spend less time stitching together dashboards and more time building great products.

If this problem resonates with you, I'd genuinely love to hear how you're solving it today.

Because I have a feeling we're all trying to answer the same question.

About

Every morning, I found myself opening the same dashboards trying to understand my business. Probecast turns scattered signals into clear explanations, so founders can stop stitching and focus on building.
