Get your degree from Youtube, for free.
After finding an awesome Youtube instructor to partner with and sponsor a video we saw a rapid increase in traffic. Within the first day we saw an increase of users by 300 with roughly 250 new users signing up daily for the next few days. As of now we are hoping Youtubes algorithm picks up the video that we can increase our user growth even more.
As of today we launched on IH, ProductHunt, HackerNews and a couple other services. Within 4 hours we had 100+ sign ups and lots of amazing user reviews. Excited to see what the rest of the day has in store.
Our new update to the chrome store was also approved and published so everyone can turn a series of educational youtube videos into courses.

As of today we have added and submitted the most recent update to the Chrome store. We added the ability for users to package a series of classes together to create a course.
Courses are semi structured pathways for users to have a community-curated journey while building up expertise and earning their degree.
Courses bring Prodeus closer to our "Spotify for education" pitch. In Spotify playlist curators are an integral part of the ecosystem and we want to encourage similar user behaviors and engagement from the education side.

Soft launch in an email campaign to our early access subscribers in the lead up to our public launch date on June 23rd. We built up a small library of Youtube content and shared the progress with our small but invested community of supporters.
Thanks to all who signed up!

Launched Version 1 to the public which allows users to add any video from Youtube into the Prodeus library. Users can then track their time watching educational videos and accrue hours leading to a peer certified degree, the ProDegree.
Prodeus provides comprehensive reporting on the users weekly and all time data so users can reflect on their progress.

About
I built Prodeus because i believe that a degree shouldn't be a debt sentence. If education is the single most important factor in social mobility then it should be freely available to all people.
