ProductMentors.io
1:1 product mentoring on demand with experienced PMs.
We launched the beta version a week ago and have 45 beta users on the platform.
So far we've had 10 product mentors sessions booked via the platform and both sides seem to have positive experiences.
Therefore we are now considering opening up for more beta users from our waitlist :-)
Hello world! We're now officially live on LinkedIn with the very first post - what a milestone to achieve ;)
On this channel we will ongoingly reveal the awesome product mentors we got aboard.
So stay tuned and help us spread the word: https://www.linkedin.com/company/productmentors-io

Without having done ANY kind of marketing at all, the word has somehow started spreading and we now have more than 150 sign-ups on the waitlist.
Thats quite amazing. Can't wait to open up for the rest of the waitlist during August/September.
The journey is really getting fun!

Finally we are ready to soft launch our MVP with the first 10 mentors and 20 mentees to see what happens.
Based on these learnings we'll adjust the MVP accordingly to gradually open up for our waitlist.
Hopefully we'll also get an initial idea of the mentor-mentee ratio for the platform going forward.

Before building the actual MVP, we wanted to see if we could drive actual sign-ups through a quite cumbersome sign-up flow.
Thus we created the first very basic version of our website with simple value propositions, about us page and a way to sign up for a waitlist.

We really had to crack the classic 'chicken-and-egg' problem with marketplaces.
Initially we started out by trying to kickstart the supply side by simply reaching out to some of the coolest product managers we knew out there.
We now have 10 experienced mentors committed to do product mentoring on the platform.

It's actually quite simple: Above all, we got too frustrated feeling alone with product dilemmas in small companies, as well as tired of reading semi-relevant blog posts and feeling misplaced in 50k+ forums on Facebook and Slack. It's time-consuming and it just doesn't help. We also realised people are already trying to help each other, simply because it's interesting, fun and feels good. So maybe, if we make it smooth and accessible enough, we can create a space where everyone can get fast, relevant help 1:1 from people who genuinely care and know. That's it, really.
