Being nearly feature-complete for launch and with servers being built I restarted the Discord server to allow people to join and give feedback :)

After a while of live-streaming the development of the Veems.tv platform on Twitch & contributing to relevant social media discussions.
We now have a few kind people on board helping out with the development of the platform.
This shows people agree with the general vision also see a need for this to exist.
After months under a codename, our freedom of speech based, full open-sourced YouTube alternative now has a name.

It doesn't actually mean anything, but it's catchy, so that'll do.

Hey @richardindie this is fantastic. Why? Because freedom of speech should exist more than ever today.
In third world countries there has been a large crack down on free speech and spreading the message through video platforms. I was talking to a charit founder yesterday who told me about a dozen academics were killed in Bangladesh for their free speech. Veems might be the tool for people willing to voice their opinion. Maybe teaming up with such charities could help.
Also open software movement people in developing nations are usually open about their thoughts about the government and other bad society practices as well. So Veems could help them as well.

Although we've started actual development on this new video platform, one of the most important factors is to get creators onboard.
I've been researching and contacting creators in the subscribers range of ~50-600k.
After a fair amount of non-responses, we now have approaching 1 dozen committed to joining https://project49476.com upon launch, including a few big channels.
It's quite a painstaking process but will continue moving forward⛏️
Had a productive phone call with a founder one the leading social media sites who shares similar free speech principals.
