Prompt Cache

The AI answer you already paid for, saved for when you need

March 4, 2026 What happens when you run out of AI credits in the middle of debugging a critical issue?

You either wait.
Or you pay.
Or… you try to remember that one perfect prompt you used 3 weeks ago.

That frustration is exactly why I built Prompt Cache (Beta).

It’s a community-powered backup for developers who rely on AI for coding. When you hit your credit limit, Prompt Cache lets you search for similar prompts and answers that other developers have already generated and shared.

Right now, the beta focuses on semantic similarity meaning if you’re stuck on a Python error, deployment issue, or API bug, it can surface closely related prompts and their AI-generated solutions.

The bigger vision?
Context-aware prompt flows. Not just one question but the entire debugging journey.

If you use AI daily for coding, I’d love your feedback. Would this save you when credits run out?

March 4, 2026 Beta Version of Prompt Cache

I’m building Prompt Cache (Beta) a community-powered backup layer for developers who use AI tools for coding. The idea is simple: when you run out of credits on platforms like OpenAI or Anthropic, you shouldn’t lose access to the knowledge you (and other devs) have already generated. Prompt Cache stores coding-related prompts and their AI-generated answers, contributed by developers, and allows you to retrieve similar solutions when you hit a limit.

Right now, the beta version focuses on semantic similarity matching. It finds prompts close to yours and shows previously generated answers shared by other developers. The goal is to evolve this into a more contextual system that understands prompt flows, debugging patterns, and multi-step problem-solving threads, so when you’re stuck on an error, architecture issue, or deployment bug, you can instantly see how someone else solved something similar using AI.

This is built for devs who rely heavily on AI for coding and don’t want progress blocked by credit limits. I’m looking for early Indie Hackers to test it, break it, and help shape the contextual search layer.

Millions of developers hit a billing wall mid-thought every day. That moment is preventable. Prompt Cache is the collective memory of every developer who ever used AI so the next one never starts from zero.
