PromptPad
AI Prompt Manager
🚀 Hey IH — First Time Sharing PromptPad 👋
I’ve been building a tool called PromptPad, and this is my first time talking about it publicly.
The idea came from chaos:
Scattered Google Docs, half-written Notion pages, screenshots, random ChatGPT threads…
If you’ve ever written a perfect prompt and then totally lost track of it — that was me, every day.
So I built something small, focused, and genuinely useful.
❌ The Problem
AI is getting better fast.
Our prompt workflows… not so much.
Most people I talk to are juggling:
Docs
Notion
Browser tabs
Chat logs
Random text files
Screenshots
None of these are built for saving, reusing, or organizing AI prompts — especially across devices or across the tools we use daily.
I wanted something that just worked.
✨ The Features I Think Matter Most
These are the things I personally couldn’t find anywhere else:
⭐ 1. Right-click → “Add to PromptPad”
See a great prompt online?
Right-click it. Save instantly to your library.
No copy/paste chaos. No forgotten bookmarks.
This alone made my workflow 10× smoother.
⭐ 2. Your prompts, synced everywhere
I switch between Mac, iPad, iPhone, Chrome, and my laptop constantly.
Having prompts instantly reusable on any device has been game-changing.
Write once → use anywhere.
⭐ 3. The $ Shortcut (my favorite feature)
Inside many popular AI chatbot — ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini — just type:
$
…and PromptPad pops up your saved prompts.
Search, insert, and reuse your best prompts without ever leaving the chat.
This turns PromptPad into a superpower for daily prompting.
💡 What PromptPad Is (and isn’t)
PromptPad is a clean writing + organizing workspace for AI users — devs, writers, creators, founders.
It’s not a bloated AI platform.
It’s a simple tool that helps you:
Store prompts in clean collections
Reuse prompts instantly
Access them across all devices
Find and remix awesome community prompts
Stay organized without effort
Early users have told me:
“It feels like Notes, but actually built for prompts.”
“The $ shortcut is insane — like autocomplete for my best ideas.”

Still early. Still shipping weekly.

🛠 Building in Public
IH always felt like the right place to share this — real builders building real things, no hype.
I'll be posting updates about:
What early users ask for
What I'm adding vs intentionally avoiding
Usage numbers
What’s working (and what’s not)
The journey to my first real users
❓How do you store your prompts today?
Docs? Notion? ChatGPT history?
A giant folder full of .txt files?
Or something even more chaotic?
I’d love to hear — I’m mapping out the different “prompt workflows” people use.
More soon,
— Alex
