June 11, 2026 Why I built PromptPlanner

I noticed that while AI tools were accelerating my output, my actual workflow was becoming increasingly fragmented. I found myself wasting more time digging through months of chat history to find "that one perfect prompt" or manually rebuilding project contexts than I did actually shipping code. It felt counterintuitive to use a cutting-edge assistant only to have my instructions lost in a bottomless pit of message threads.

I created PromptPlanner to solve this friction by treating prompts as first-class, manageable assets rather than disposable text. By building a native, board-based system, I’ve been able to compartmentalize my AI interactions, schedule recurring tasks, and keep my focus entirely on the work at hand rather than the management of my tools. It’s my way of turning a scattered, chaotic AI habit into a disciplined, high-velocity system that runs entirely on my own machine.
