May 14, 2020 Beta Accepted to Google Play Store

Due to a busy year doing research and working on my Masters in 2019 I didn't have much time to work on Pronuncio. Now due to Covid-19, however, I have had lots of time in the evenings to work on it.

I have developed an initial prototype using Flutter. This means I should be able to easily release the app for both iOS and Android, although I have mostly been focusing on Android at this point.

I submitted an initial build to the Beta track on the Google Play Store this week and it was accepted on Thursday! My next goal will be to get this beta in front of some initial users in order to get feedback.

April 4, 2019 Won Business Plan Competition

All first-year Master's students in Neuroscience at the University of Lethbridge compete in a business plan competition where we submit business plans based on some interesting application of our research. My research area is speech recognition and auditory perception in noisy environments.

Working in this research area means that I am familiar with speech recognition technology. My business plan is based on a product for language learning that can evaluate language learner's pronunciation using deep learning and speech recognition technology in order to give them instant feedback.

This business plan won first place in the competition and came with a $1000 prize that I am using to fund any costs I have during development of the app.

    Congrats for this Lukas!

Interested in how your application of neuroscience principles (around speech and audio) determined the layout and delivery of your business plan. Have you got the winning version somewhere online?

Also how is your idea and app coming along?
