I bought thepropz.com and quickly stitched up a landing page using carrd. Now I am collecting subscriptions from 2 places and have a domain to launch with.

    Cool idea.

Would be nice to see people who you don't follow as well.

      Thanks.
Yeah, I've thought about this and since the screen real estate isn't too much to work with, I think it would be best if this is optional feature and you would see just limited number of the absolute most popular tweets about the page you are looking at.
Another way to deal with the potentially huge number of items is an infinite scroll or unnumbered page loading with a button (Show More as in the demo), but then there need to be some clear visual separation between popular tweets and tweets from the people you follow.
Another issue that stems from this is - you would probably want to somehow pin tweets to the top (so you don't need to scroll to a ton of content every time you navigate to the page) - the Like button should do the job (everything you liked goes on top next time you load the page).

I designed a mockup of the product and made a gif animation to showcase how it works.

Then I built an upcoming page on Product Hunt's Ship and promoted it on the site (and posted in a bunch of other places):

Unfortunately I hit a bad timing in terms of traffic - it was around Easter and the page got almost no views on Product Hunt.

Interestingly, though, it started discussions everywhere I posted and many of the subscribers felt the need to tweet about the product.

April 14, 2019 Idea was born

I was thinking about creating a platform where people can leave notes as summaries for articles and blogposts, using Twitter’s graph as a way to select which notes should users see (only from people you follow - if someone I trust summarized the article in a few sentences, I can make an informed decision to spend the 15min to read it fully or not). Then I realised - the content I am looking for is already there, just nothing leverages it.

And the lightbulb lit up. :)

Twitter’s accumulated knowledge remains widely unused, and tweets usually don’t get a 2nd read by anyone. Maybe it’s the elusively short form, but tweets currently are not viewed as accumulated knowledge, but as disposable messages never to be seen again after a week.

What if every time I read an article or a blogpost, I can immediately see the opinions I value most?

I read something about Venture Capital - I see tweets from Marc Andreessen, Naval or Jason Calacanis stating their opinion on this piece of content; I am on a page about a new technology - I see tweets from John Carmack and Jeff Atwood about it; etc.

About

I wanted to build a browser plugin which allows people to post notes on every page they browse, leaving comments and summaries for their twitter followers to read. Then I realized this content already exists.
