Protego for Reddit

Just a little humble brag! I released @getprotego, a Safari web extension that allows you to filter content on Reddit.com based on keywords, social media links, and custom domains, in mid November and it's been an amazing journey. I went from not having written a single line of code for Apple devices to releasing Protego for iPhone, iPad, Mac, and even Vision Pro.

I've spent COUNTLESS hours learning and working on making improvements during the little free time I have and it's all been worth it.

I initially built this app for myself because I was tired of being bombarded with political posts on Reddit when all I wanted to see was posts about topics that bring me joy, like technology, photography, specific TV shows, pets, music, edm fesivals, video games, etc. Reddit did not provide an easy way to filter out useless content so I took it upon myself and then decided to share it with others.

I've gotten amazing feedback, it's nice ot know that a tool I built from scratch is being used by people from the US, UK, Canada, Mexico, Germany, India, Japan, Brazil, Belgium, and many other countries.

If you wanna try it out, it's 50% off for 24 hours, only 99 cents!
