December 11, 2019 Public APIs acquired for $23k

The journey took me 9 months while I was nomading in India, Singapore & Indonesia.

Working remotely from my laptop and traveling was the best thing I enjoyed doing for work & lifestyle balance.

Here is the complete story about this.

Now I'm building another NoCode project Now.

Hi, nice idea and appealing product. Upvoted. Congrats!!!

  2. 2

Hey, that's great, I struggle a lot to feel something is ready to launch (even after still having regrets of what could have been better & stuff). What would you recommend to get that confidence? BTW congrats for this one!

    1. 1

      Hey Thanks,

If you have idea and wanna do something with that. Then make it in days not in months. And without any hesitation share in your network and get feedback. That's all I do. Thanks

      1. 1

Thanks a lot for sharing @mddanishyusuf appreciate the words!

  3. 2

Awesome stuff, upwoted. Hats off to your dedication, it takes me almost a year to launch something lol

    1. 2

      Thanks for kind words.

  4. 1

    Congratulations!
two things, the first this a typo on the website's footer "Twtter" should be fixed.
Second thing, please do tell us about the technology stack you used on this product that enabled fast development and what is behind the search feature is it keywords or any particular NLP behind the scene?

    1. 1

Thanks for letting me know the typo errors. I'm fixing it.

Good Question: I'm using Nextjs to make front-end and hosting on zeit that is free and can publish in one command. I'm using some content filteration on the based of categories.

      Thanks

  5. 1

hi Mohd, congrats! How do you start posting on Product Hunt to launch a software product? is there some kinda process that you need to get in touch with their team first?

  6. 1

    Hey @mddanishyusuf, seems definitely interesting.
The website is down on my end, are you on it?

    1. 1

      It's working here.

  7. 1

Way to go, upvoted! How do you deal with the challenge of promoting them?

    1. 2

      Hey Haim,

I just share products in some good community where I active all day and tweet about the stuff. So, if your tweet and products are good then it will automatically boost. I use producthunt to launch the products.

      1. 1

Excellent, really. Which communities are you active on?

        1. 2

          Makerlog and Maker Kitchen

          1. 1

Hey @mddanishyusuf many thanks for the recommendations, great communities, very helpful!

  11. 1

Nice idea, upvoted. I'm thinking of doing something similar in posting quite a few small products, do you have any tips for doing this?

My notes on the first launch are over here

    1. 1

      Thanks Kenny.

That's great. Let me know in details. So, maybe I can help you.

  12. 1

June 13, 2019 Got First Sponsor

Public APIs got our first sponsor (Smartcar API) for 1 month and it's really great.

I was not expecting this that Public APIs can get me money. Now I'm getting company leads to advertise their projects on Public APIs. Let's see how far we go.

I'm working full time on this now.

    Great news Mohd!

I'm interested to find out what kind of deal you worked out with them? - clicks or placement etc

If you're able to share that would be great πŸ˜€

  2. 1

    Niceeee!! Congrats!!

  3. 1

Kudos! I'm curious how you attracted your 1st sponsor.

June 2, 2019 500+ Singup

It's been a long slog to get here, but Public APIs just passed 500+ signups! This has been the result of several efforts, including ProductHunt launch, social media marketing, press, and communities support.

And Now Public APIs getting 60% traffic through google.

May 16, 2019 Build with 0$

I build Public APIs with 0$ expensive. I build the product by my self and using all free services.

For hosting I'm using netlify, For APIs using glitch and still not have too much data then mlab is best for now to store the data and for advanced search I'm using Algolia free tier.

About

I started this tool to solve a problem that it's really hard to find good public APIs on the internet. I build this Jan-2019 and ship it the world. After that people are loving the simplicity and using the tool.
