October 28, 2019 First Stripe-connected accounts

We created Publicisto because we wanted writers and content makers to make money. Last week we got our first users that connected their Stripe accounts to Publicisto. That’s a first step on the way to their success and it makes us very happy :)

Good concept...So subscribers should already have a build in mailing list before prior to joining your platform?

      Thanks.

It's always better to have an existing audience, but you can build your mailing list on Publicisto as well.

Start off with free subscriptions/posts and convert to paid when you're ready for it.

That's awesome! Are you able to tell if they make money through your platform?

      Thanks, btw :)

Hey. Yes, we get pinged on each transaction.

Hey, how do you pay people outside of Stripe-supported countries?

    1. 1

      Hey, good question.

We don't actually pay anyone. Publishers use their own Stripe account and connect them to our platform. Their subscribers pay them directly. We take a fee from that transaction.

So, you need a Stripe account to make money with Publicisto, for now.

Nice congrats on getting that first customer to connect their Stripe account! They trust your company to share that data!

      Thank you!

October 18, 2019 We just launched Publicisto!

Publicisto is a service where you can sell your content to paying subscribers. The publications are sent by email to the subscribers and accessible on the web.

We have worked on it for some time, and it’s super exciting to have it out there in the wild!

It’s free to use, we only take a cut of the subscription fee.If you get paid we get paid :) And, you don't give away any immaterial rights to your content or subscriber ownership.

Note: You need Stripe to publish, they handle the payment and subscription logic.

Full indie, no investors or angels, just 3 guys on Slack.
Give it a spin, don’t be afraid to give feedback.

Cheers,
The Publicisto Team

Just a thought, rather than spreading yourself too wide and thin. How about focusing on a particular industry/market? For example deployment or SEO marketing. This way the match between sellers and buyers will be greater and easier to target.

Insightful point! I think the long game for us is to create tools and mechanisms to narrow the gap between sellers and buyers in any market. Focusing 100% on a specific vertical could put us in a risky spot. But I can totally see where you are coming from :)

Congrats on the launch Per. App looks really nice and simple. What is the go to market strategy for you?

    1. 1

      And thanks!

Right now? Small incremental try-outs in different channels and double-down on whatever that works. We're self funded so our marketing budget is pretty thin!

We want to be 100% transparent, that's really our marketing strategy for the moment :)

        Cool. All the best... :)
