PurifyCSS Online
Remove unused CSS from your website
+48% traffic increase. Yay!
Although it wasn't mentioned in a very positive way (it broke the layout of the site in Chris Coyier's test), it helped a lot in terms of traffic and search engine rankings.
It also helped uncovering some bugs, which are fixed now :-)
While browsing twitter, I found a post about a web performance conference talk that also mentioned removing unused code to improve page speed.
In the comments, people were asking if there is a web based tool that helps cleaning up the CSS files. I already had something similar as a CLI tool on my local machine, so I registered a domain, built a UI around my prototype and pushed it online in one night.
I responded to the comments on twitter. People started using it and it worked pretty well.

I already had the node-js lib purifycss installed on my localhost, but it was pretty cumbersome to clean CSS of existing sites. So I wrote a wrapper around it, that fetches the HTML code from a URL and the referenced CSS files. The first prototype worked through the command line interface and only on my local machine. The URLs were hard coded and had to change it manually for each site.
