Paying customer number 3!

I woke up this morning to a pleasant surprise with an email from stripe. Another customer bought a subscription. It's pretty exciting to see and gives me some more motivation! I've been spending a bit more time in forums and helping people use Pushback. The main forum was NodeRed, which I discovered from my google analytics. I plan to keep working on my docs to help people in these niche markets and hopefully it'll also help my seo.

Congratulations :) Are you looking forward to scaling sales? Let's chat sometime? I've helped a few people here. It's free :)

Congrats! What marketing techniques you have used to bring users?

I think a majority of my early users were from the apple app store and google play store. Beyond that here is a list of other things I've done though (in no particular order):

      1. Wrote blog posts and shared them on hackernews (could probably do better at sharing).
      2. Wrote responses on forums
      3. Live code streamed on Twitch
      4. Made sure simple SEO things were done, set title and description for each page, made a sitemap and robots.txt, canonical url, etc
      5. Created docs on how to use the product.

Here are some low effort things I think I still can do:

      1. Make a youtube video showing how it works.
      2. Make more docs on niche markets on how to use. e.g. raspberry pi, nodered, BlueIris, etc.
      3. implement feature requests from users.
      4. Onboarding/Welcome emails
      5. Iterate pricing

I think time passing has been the largest factor tbh.

Wow 😲 That's a lot of hard work. You really deserve success.
