Qinaps
Networked notes delivering flexible documents
After mulling over which social platforms to start off with, LinkedIn made it to our top of the list. It took some crazy networking and posting relevant content to get our first 100 followers. Of course, we discovered platforms and communities such as IH, PH, Reddit, and others later. But Linkedin was hard because our corporate friends were seeing and judging us in our start-up journey and this scrutiny was hard. But I was quick to realize that in the start-up world you gotta shamelessly promote and talk about your baby. If you don't no-one else will.
It took 6 months of in-depth beta testing, 100+ feedback, competitive landscape and intense weeks of F2F interviews, and we finally nailed the minimum viable product for Qinaps. Being 16 weeks pregnant with a 2.5 year old meant that I worked nights, weekends, and in bet my doc visits :) LaurentPonthieu coded the whole thing in Django. With just 40k lines of code we are proud and ready to take Qinaps to the users. I'm quite excited to see what they think about the product so far!

To solve content re-use, to move away from files and folders, and to create content with the intention of re-use and ease of sharing via live links rather than attachments in emails. Turns out its worth solving this as the note taking pie is so large that we don't need to push out anyone in order for us to win and the most interesting one led me to the idea for Qinaps!
