Crypto is coming back. So are we. Since the beginning of this year, we have noticed Medium blog on crypto sentiment data https://medium.com/qokka/cryptocurrency-sentiment-data-45227c9bdbbc and GitHub repository https://github.com/Qokka/crypto-sentiment-data and are getting a lot more attention than they used to be. People have started reaching out to us to buy data. Now we got sufficient revenue to cover our compute cost!

We have a lot ideas around crypto & sentiment data which we will build in the next steps. It's great to be back in a thriving market.

We made a decision to shut down all cryptocurrency related products, effective immediately on May 17, 2020. It costs a lot of money to run and maintain a product that continuously collect public community data at large scale, and analyze them with machine learning. The overall market conditions of cryptocurrency is not nurturing for SaaS companies in this space, and we did not find companies in this space are willing to pay for analytics and intelligence software.

That said, we are still open for building custom solutions for enterprises. We have backed up all the data and frozen our systems. Hopefully one day we will turn this back on again.

Excited to announce Harmony (https://harmony.one/) has become our first customer. Harmony is one of the few companies that are extremely focused on community cultivation. With Qokka | Blockchain, we noticed even though Harmony is ranked 150+ in terms of market cap, its community sentiment is among top 60, and its messaging volume is as high as top 1-5.

We are looking forward to working with more blockchain projects like Harmony.

It took us 1.5 months to migrate what we have from Qokka | Crypto and build a B2B version which is more suitable for crypto projects. Even though there are tens of others solution listening solutions before us and some of them already have been doing it for 10+ years, we seem to be the first in blockchain, and we seem to be the only one that capture community conversations (Reddit, Telegram, etc.) rather than traditional social media conversations (Facebook, Twitter, etc.).

Anyway, happy to announce got our letter of intent and we delivered our MVP to this customer. Hope they like it.

Some people from TRON told us they love our B2C product Qokka | Crypto (http://crypto.qokka.com/) and asked if we can build a B2B version that offers something more powerful. So we built a demo in 3 days and showed them how it works. The caveat is we didn't have Twitter data at that time. So no deal :( But other blockchain projects expressed interest. Overall, it looked promising.
